WOW! What a fantastic start to the School year! Albeit a late start, but it’s been an outstanding effort in a very short amount of time!
The PTA kicked December off with 3 Discos’ for KS1 & KS2 children, where all the fun was had! The partying saw dance off’s, singing, games and a foam machine! The bonus of the tuck shop was a complete winner too!
We saw our first ever Christmas Jumper sale take place, with over 50 fabulous jumpers donated to our cause.
We’ve also been making special appearances at the Christmas plays filming, providing (very welcomed) refreshments and an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win a fantastic hamper of goodies!
In our bid to raise funds for St Mark’s CE Primary School it simply wouldn’t be possible without our amazing Parent and Carer support. The PTA would like to thank you all for making each disco attendance so successful and filling your children’s pockets with pennies to spend at the tuck shop.
There was a superb effort across school in digging out and donating unwanted jumpers. We had a great range of sizes to re-sell from baby up to adult.
You have all been out in force purchasing tea, coffee and raffle tickets too. Thank you so very much.
I’d like to say a special thank you to Lisa van Damms, Stacey and Corrine for rearranging their days and dedicating time so that the PTA could ensure the children’s plays were filmed. A special thank you also to Helen Houston for spending her spare time turning the footage into hundreds of DVDs.
On top of the December activities, our Nursery and Reception children have had their own little Christmas party, where Santa was able to deliver each child a little gift courtesy of the PTA.We have also loved funding the end of term school treat –popcorn for all!
It has to be said that none of these wonderful events could have happened without the dedication we see from St Mark’s CE PTA. Thank you to each and every one of you for all of your outstanding support, hard work, time and commitment. Well done, you really are amazing!!
I am delighted to announce that our December efforts have raised a grand total of £2,625.30. A fabulous first amount to put into St Mark’s fundraising pot for 2019/2020! Amazing work, thank you!
One of the PTA’s first investments for school this year has been driven by Leah and Sophie from Year 6S. The girls took the time to write to the PTA with their request for a bench in Cici’s Garden, outlining their reasons so well. Since then, they have been researching their options, prices, and even measuring up! What a fantastic effort girls, well done! It is fair to say they have come up with a wonderful idea to invest in a bench for Cici’s Garden and we hope to see this in place in the New Year.
I am very much looking forward to organising more fun events for the children, you and the School in 2020, however for now it’s time to enjoy the festive season.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Cassie and the PTA Team.
