A family working and growing together to reach our potential.
Welcome to St. Mark’s Church of England Primary School. St. Mark’s CE is a school where children feel safe and happy, all are welcome here. Our school works closely as a family, our pupils, staff, parents, governors, church and the local community all working together to provide the best for our children.
Our Christian Vision
Our vision is deeply rooted in a strong Christian tradition and is inspired by the words:
‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go’ (Joshua 1:9).
At St. Mark’s C of E Primary School, we nurture every child to become a resilient, lifelong learner. We believe each child is unique and is created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27), with gifts to discover and share.
Our goal is to give children the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to reach their potential and live life in all its fullness (John 10:10). Through a stimulating and challenging curriculum with high expectations, our children will flourish.
Our Christian values of Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Trust and Understanding create a welcoming school where everyone belongs.
Our Core Christian Values
At St. Mark's C of E Primary School, we inspire our pupils to live out our five core Christian values of Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Trust and Understanding. As a school, we have chosen a Bible passage linked to each of our Christian values.
Respect
'Do to others, as you would have them do to you' (Matthew 7: 12).
Responsibility
'If you are responsible with little things, God will trust you with bigger things' (Luke 16:10).
Fairness
'Be fair to everyone, because God sees all' (Colossians 4:1).
Trust
'My God is my strength in whom I trust' (Psalm 18:2).
Understanding
'Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience' (Colossians 3:12).
