#WakeUpWednesday is a weekly online‑safety campaign from the National College designed to help parents and carers stay informed about the latest digital risks, apps, games, and online trends that children are using. The guides are released every Wednesday and provide practical, easy‑to-understand advice.
What it’s for :
- To help parents keep up with fast‑changing online technology, apps, games, and social media.
- To equip adults with reliable, age‑appropriate guidance to support safe online behaviour at home
Each guide focuses on a specific topic such as:
- Popular apps and games (e.g., TikTok, Roblox, Snapchat)
- Online risks like scams, fake news, harmful content, or oversharing
- Safety features, privacy controls, and reporting options
